The Sami robot

Powerful and precise on all terrains

The Sami robot is designed to automate the harvesting of fruits and vegetables. Using artificial intelligence, robotics and an advanced vision system, it locates and identifies fruits and vegetables ready for harvesting. It harvests only identified products, with row widths adjustable to the specific needs of each customer.

Example: Broccoli harvest.

A tool for the future

We use robotic arms, capable of cutting, harvesting and depositing each broccoli in less than 3 seconds. Each robotic arm operates with great precision over two rows of broccoli, ensuring that the quality of the harvested product is maintained.

Safe

Sami is equipped with multiple cameras whose role is to detect and identify broccoli on the ground as it passes by. This vision also enables it to ensure the safety of the equipment at all times, by simplifying maneuvers and detecting potential anomalies.

Efficient and innovative

We are well aware of the challenges of selective broccoli harvesting in the field. That’s why we use innovative means to automate the harvesting process. Artificial intelligence enables us to improve our system for recognizing broccoli on the ground, and to guarantee better yields.

Specifications

The whole machine

Dimension

With 12 robotic arms and a harvest width of 24 rows, our machine is 20 metres long and 6 metres wide. These dimensions can be adjusted to meet specific customer requirements.

Harvesting speed

The travel speed is continuously adapted to the yield rate, guaranteeing a more advantageous tonnage per hour than that obtained by manual harvesting.

Control

The operator can be positioned to have a 360° view of the machine and crop, either from the cabin or on the ground using our mobile interface.
