About the role
As Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you will be a key driver of operational excellence as we transition from pre-commercial prototypes to full-scale production. Reporting directly to the CPO, you’ll lead the development and execution of a scalable, cost-effective manufacturing and supply chain strategy. Collaborating closely with our cross-functional engineering teams, you’ll oversee everything from supplier selection and production planning to process optimization and cost reduction. This is a high-impact leadership role that will shape the foundation of our operations during a pivotal stage of growth.
Key responsibilities
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Develop and execute a sourcing strategy that ensures quality, cost-efficiency, and timely component delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers for key mechanical, electrical, automation, and other components.
- Negotiate contracts and build long-term partnerships with suppliers, vendors and contractors.
- Assess supply chain risks related to tariffs, regulations, and geopolitical factors, and develop mitigation strategies.
Manufacturing & Operations
- Design and implement scalable manufacturing processes that support the transition from prototypes to low-volume and full-scale production.
- Develop efficient assembly line workflows and collaborate with workshop technicians to resolve production issues.
- Oversee inventory control, warehousing, and logistics for incoming and outgoing materials.
- Develop and track KPIs related to cost, quality, and lead time to drive continuous improvement.
Systems and tools
- Implement and maintain inventory and production planning systems and integrate with SolidWorks.
- Optimize procurement, inventory, and work order systems to support scaling operations.
Desired Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain or procurement roles, ideally in industrial machinery, or robotics or automation.
- Hands-on experience with scaling from prototype to production in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and integration with CAD tools like SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Able to thrive in ambiguity, make data-driven decisions, and roll up your sleeves when needed.
- Bilingual (English and French) is a strong asset.
